The membership at BallenIsles Club is proud to be a part of such a premier community and it’s not just because of the amenities and lifestyle, but especially because there are so many big-hearted contributors in our community who provide financial and in-kind support for those in need. We are very thankful and proud to announce that BallenIsles Charities Foundation achieved its fundraising goal of $720,000 and the grants will be awarded to 42 local organizations on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.

Since BallenIsles Charities Foundation was established in 2011 with the goal of making a difference to the local community, a significant positive impact has been made by our resident donors. The launch of the Foundation resulted in a true commitment and giving shown by compassionate people totaling the cumulative grants awarded by the Foundation to more than $3.7 million. This was made possible by events and 140+ dedicated volunteers that raise awareness and money for needed community programs.

Highly regarded as a unique, private, residential golf and tennis country club, BallensIsles is home to some of the world’s top professional athletes, major tournaments, and Exhibition Charity Events. Each fundraising event at BallenIsles attracts sold out support, including the Serena Williams Tennis Charity Event that took place on Monday, December 23, 2019. Serena and players such as Brenda Schultz-McCarthy, Johan Kriek and Ann Grossman kindly donated their time so that all proceeds could be distributed to The BallenIsles Charities Foundation. The total raised funds of $15,000 are a credit to the generosity of the contestants and BallenIsles member residents.

Just as the President of BallenIsles Charities Foundation, Mark Freeman, proudly says, together we’re “Making a Difference.” This year, another record-setting amount of $665,000 in grants plus the final payment of $55,000 for the Feed the Hungry Pantry refrigerated truck, totaling $720,000 is scheduled for payment on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 to forty-two local organizations in the Civic, Health & Human Services, Environmental and Educational spheres.
