Palm Beach Gardens is an epicenter of culture, built from history, art, and nature. It’s the kind of place that’s just begging to be explored, with its markets to shop and wine dinners at fabulous restaurants and great golf at private club communities such as BallenIsles Country Club. It’s the sort of locale that must be seen, experienced, and enjoyed. When you visit, here’s a list of some of the best things to do in Palm Beach Gardens:

Beach It at John D. MacArthur Beach State Park

This park was once owned by entrepreneur John D. MacArthur, whose influence is evident throughout Palm Beach County, but nowhere in Palm Beach County is more beautiful than at the oceanfront State Park named in his honor. Residents and guests to the area stroll down the boardwalk through thick mangroves to reach its white sand shores, swim or snorkel offshore, or take to the trails or a kayak for birdwatching or nature photography. We suggest packing a picnic and hiking the Dune Hammock Trail down to the beach to enjoy lunch al fresco.

Grab A Selfie Outside the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum

A landmark from the 17th century, the Jupiter Lighthouse has guided ships safely, was present for three different wars, and has become an icon of Jupiter and North Palm Beach. Tour guides lead you to the top while telling the stories of the lighthouse keepers who maintained it. The museum below also explains the lighthouse’s past and science in further detail. Make sure to pack your yoga mat – one of the most popular things to do at the base of the lighthouse is the Museum’s Twilight Yoga Class!

Get Groceries at the Gardens GreenMarket

Farmers markets are a wonderful way to support the local economy, especially in South Florida! Every Sunday from 8 am– 1pm, the Gardens GreenMarket is held right by City Hall. Here is where shoppers can find an assortment of fresh cut flowers, locally grown fruits, and handmade candles and jewelry, made and grown by local farmers and artisans. On occasion, the GreenMarket staff will even invite a local artist to paint en plein aire or host a demonstration. The good health event is sponsored by Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. Not only will you come home with new and unique foods and gifts, you might even learn a new skill or two!

Get to Shopping at Downtown at The Gardens

Located just west of the Gardens Mall, visiting Downtown at the Gardens is a local favorite. A contemporary outdoor shopping and entertainment area, you’ll find eclectic shops, art sculptures, and live entertainment, all under the sun! When you’re not finding new favorites at stores like Sur la Table, Antica Sartoria, and Craft Haus, you’re enjoying live performances by local artists, you might be grabbing dinner at Avocado Grill, the Cheesecake Factory or the Yardhouse.

Witness the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic

This event occurs in February, but we would be remiss to leave it off of our list. As the host city for The Honda Classic, Palm Beach Gardens offers golf enthusiasts a chance to observe this monumental event up close. It all kicks off on the 20th, and has some of the world’s best players face off against each other until the 1st of March. Outside of the game itself, there are plenty of things to do, including an after-play concert on the 27th of February and the Tire Kingdom Fireworks Spectacular on the 29th of February.
