Not only is it renowned for their superb level of service, but BallenIsles Country Club has also been recognized for delivering Member Experience at the highest level. Distinguished Clubs, a division of BoardRoom Magazine, recognizes Clubs and Club management with a merit-based award program for private clubs, where awarding is determined by an impartial formulaic assessment with on-site surveys using measured criteria for the member experience and distinction of excellence.

More than a grand Clubhouse, three championship golf courses and a 65,000 square foot Sports Complex, BallenIsles Country Club is proud to have received the 2020 Distinguished Club honor—a distinction only the top five percent of clubs in the world have.

BoardRoom magazine in partnership with Forbes Travel Guide, is also proud to announce that BallenIsles Country Club, General Manager/COO, Ryan Walls, has earned the prestigious Distinguished Club Executive Award for 2020. Upon receipt, Ryan said, “It’s an honor to accept this award on behalf of our team, board and membership, as it represents our commitment in working together over the past year in providing a world-class and highly recognized Club in the safest environment possible while directly in the face of adversity. Every member of my team contributed in their own way to help our Club continue to provide our members a safe and enjoyable experience. An odd year for certain, but good in a different way in that it truly continued to strengthen our community.” This award would not be possible without the dedication and talent of the entire team of Associates and the support of the Board of Directors at BallenIsles Country Club in providing an outstanding Member Experience. John Fornaro, Publisher and Co-Founder of BoardRoom magazine adds, “It was becoming clear that General Managers were a key reason the club was able to earn and sustain Distinguished Club status year after year. So it was only natural for us to recognize and award those General Managers who were able to lead their respective teams in providing the highest levels of Member Experience.” Ryan’s Executive Team of Directors received the Distinguished Achievement Leadership awards in their respective departments as well.

BoardRoom magazine, now in its 25th year of publication, is the only publication of its kind designed to educate the board of directors, owners, general managers and department heads of private golf, city, yacht, tennis and country clubs about issues concerning all aspects of the club, golf course management and operations for the private club industry. On the other hand, Forbes Travel Guide is an independent global rating agency for luxury hospitality for more than 60 years traveling the world to give guests the most reliable information on where to stay, dine and relax.
