Club & Resort Business has announced its list of the Top Ranked Racquet Facilities for 2021 and we are proud to share that BallenIsles Country Club is ranked #2. Club and resort properties throughout the country submitted entries and were judged independently by a panel comprised of club professionals from several of the industry’s most well-respected properties, and leaders in the world of racquet sports. World-Class Facilities
From impressive courts to ample space for spectators, both casual tennis players and serious competitors alike will find their expectations exceeded at BallenIsles’ facilities. The 65,000-square-foot Sports Complex features 23 courts—20 Har-Tru® clay courts, including a stadium court that seats 500, two permanent and two non-permanent Pickleball courts, one hard court—as well as a full-service tennis shop for all Tennis Member needs. When not serving up skills during a match, Members can visit the tennis & fitness lounge within the Sports Complex to enjoy refreshments and friendly conversations. Lessons & Competitions
Not only are the facilities exceptional, but BallenIsles tennis and pickleball programs also feature year-round exhibitions, Club tournaments, and clinics for all ages. From adult camps and round robins to clinics and private lessons, those looking to improve your game can always find an instructional program that meets their needs, regardless of age and skill level. With Summer in full swing, the Club’s calendar has been filled with highly anticipated tournaments and unmatched charity events full of active Members eager to pick up a racquet.
In addition, BallenIsles has an excellent Junior Development Tennis Program, led by former world-ranked players Gary Henderson and Andrei Daescu-- who won the USA National Indoor Pickleball Tournament June 11, 2021. Needless to say, both avid and novice players can count on an exceptional racquet sports experience and friendly concierge service at every visit.
Continued Growth
Invitational tournaments at BallenIsles regularly feature world-ranked players, and the list of the stadium court’s previous players includes former and current Grand Slam champions. Most notably, the pristine stadium court at BallenIsles was previously home to tennis greats Venus and Serena Williams who trained here for more than a decade. Along with the influential Tennis Program coaches, the sports programs have flourished as a result of professional matches and the Club’s facility expansions. Most recently BallenIsles has begun a summer renovation project which will include the addition of seven new pickleball courts.
As popularity for the community’s sports programs increase, BallenIsles will continue to expand and improve Club facilities, further distinguishing its unparalleled Sports Complex from others.
