As the Spa & Salon’s Director of Operations, Nadia DiSchino oversees this private Palm Beach Gardens spa to ensure every resident’s experience exceeds expectations. Where did you find your passion for the beauty industry?
My passion for the beauty industry began as a little girl going to my mom’s salon in Boston. I loved the energy of the salon, the music, the styles, fashion, learning about customer service, and even being allowed to sweep the floor and remove wrapping papers in perm rods that sat in the shampoo bowl after a service. It was such an honor, and I loved every minute of it.
How did you join Cosmo & Company?
My major in college was elementary education, but I always knew I wanted to be in a salon. After graduating in 2003, I moved to South Florida to pursue a career at Cosmo & Company, West Palm Beach, and have been with the company ever since. My role has grown from guest services to inventory manager to salon manager. Now, I am so proud and honored to be a managing partner since May 2018 with the best teacher, mentor, and uncle, Cosmo DiSchino.
What services does the BallenIsles Spa & Salon provide?
The salon at BallenIsles offers precision cutting and styling services among an array of color services performed with Wella Professional hair color. The salon also offers luxury manicure and pedicure services that maintain the look and feel for all, including the athletic members whose tired feet off the course or courts need some pampering.
The spa at BallenIsles offers medical-grade, anti-aging facial services for all skin types. Involving microdermabrasion-like exfoliation paired with hydrating serums, a HydraFacial is one of many skin treatments available. The spa also offers therapeutic and indulgent massages. These services are perfect for post-workout treatment, after a doubles match, or just to come in for a relaxing spa day. Whether you would like a deep-tissue massage for intense relief or a lighter touch for sore muscles, all our therapists are amazing at what they do.
Has Cosmo & Company recently added any new services to the spa menu?
Yes, we are pleased to offer makeup services with Melissa in the salon. You may also add lash lifts, tints, and brow lamination to your spa services. Our esthetician, Carley, specializes in brow shaping and styling, and lash services to give you that wake up, go, and glow look!
What are the benefits of having a regular massage or spa treatment?
Consistent facial services and a customized home skincare regimen are a sure-fire way to enhance the skin’s suppleness, hydration, and overall tone and texture. Regular massages have a significant list of benefits as well, such as lymphatic drainage, encouraging healthy circulatory function, breaking up lactic acid in overworked muscles, and (as the most important reason) they feel good!
What differentiates the BallenIsles Spa & Salon from other spas in the area?
We are right here in the Sports Complex, just a golf cart ride away from BallenIsles’ homes! We are waiting to offer Members everything they would want in a day spa and salon. Plus, the personalized care and one-on-one relationships built are second to none.
