What Are the Golden Fork Awards?
Hosted by Golf Inc. Magazine, the annual Golden Fork Awards recognizes the best new and renovated food & beverage facilities at golf clubs around the world. Both private and public golf clubs can submit entry for one of the three categories: new food & beverage facility, remodeled food & beverage facility, and food programming. Each entry is judged blindly based on a combination of factors, including venue aesthetics, service, menus, planning, and overall revenue. Winners are featured in the March/ April 2023 edition of Golf Inc. Magazine.

BallenIsles Wins Best Food Programming
While each of BallenIsles’ six dining venues provide a robust calendar of social events, the Club focused their submission on Evolution. A departure from traditional fine dining and a new series of social events have quickly transformed Evolution into Members’ favorite eatery. The newly added Small Plates offers shareable cuisines featuring handcrafted flavors by a team of renowned Chefs. Evolution also introduced Monthly Wine Cellar Dinners, featuring flights of wine paired with a five-course dinner from highly coveted wineries. A BYOB Cellar Dinner Series was also added to the growing event calendar, where Members are invited to bring their own special bottle to pair with the Chef’s menu. These events have not only become permanent additions to the Club’s social calendar, but also have increased overall attendance to all of BallenIsles’ restaurants.

Culinary Experiences to Please Every Palate
Since the completion of BallenIsles’ $35 million Clubhouse renovation in 2018, Members have enjoyed a variety of expanded dining options for every palate and occasion. Circle 100 offers classic American favorites couples with select regional cuisines in a bountiful lunch or dinner buffet. With 18 T.V.s, The BallenIsles Grille (also called The B.I.G.) is the best spot to watch the latest sports game, with casual bites including burgers, salads, pizzas, ribs, and more. Located in the heart of the Clubhouse, Harry’s Lounge celebrates the Club’s storied history with light bites, handcrafted cocktails, and unique deserts. Bistro 105 provides a casual experience focused on creative and seasonal dishes, providing everything from fresh salad lunches to al fresco pasta dinners. Finally, The Cabana is a poolside bar serving smoothies, juices, and coffee in the morning, and refreshing tropical drinks in the afternoon.
